Driver Full Job Description:

The driver will be responsible for safely transporting the client’s vehicles to and from designated locations in a timely manner. Duties include following all traffic laws and regulations and maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle. The driver must possess a valid driving license, a clean driving record, and excellent knowledge of the local area. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for this role, as the driver will be representing the company during client interactions. Flexibility with working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A driver for an independent auto repair shop, duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

• An ability to concentrate on ensuring road safety

• Clean and maintain cars and car interiors

• Ensure all safety requirements are met

• Ensuring the cleanliness of vehicles

• Be prepared to assist in all areas of the business.

• Communicate with customers by phone to update them on the time of vehicle pick up and drop off if there have been issues or changes to their estimated time of arrival

• Follows pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course

• Maintains communication with management to be informed of any change of delivery, route or schedule

The candidate must be dependable and have good customer relations skills. We are looking to fill this role full-time and long term.

• Must have a UK driver's license

• No driving disqualifications within the last 3 years

• Knowledge of the area to know which back roads to take when necessary.

• The ability to remain calm under pressure, for instance, when driving in inclement weather conditions

• Basic knowledge of computers, handheld devices and relevant electronic applications

• Good communication skills to follow instructions, work with colleagues and deal with clients

• Ability to work under pressure

• Ability to work on a team

• Be physically fit

Shift & Schedule: 07:30 - 17:30 Monday - Friday

08:00 - 13.00 Saturday
